Outing Report – Little River Ripper – 17 August 2021

Kirsty Anderson

Ten of us enjoyed a sunlit walk along the edge of the Wilson Inlet between Little River and Campbell Road. Spring was in the air, bringing-out several courting couples of the feathered variety. There was a delightful array of birdsong, some mild bush-bashing to avoid some areas of water over the path and we saw 31 species in all, including two rather special sightings; a group of Varied Sittellas and a pair of Sacred Kingfishers. A big thanks to Jeff Spencer for making his garden available for our morning tea!
